Studio
The Promise
Two promises. Not slogans. If you allow a song onto the streams, you share in what it earns. If this studio grows, struggling artists share in that growth. That is the room we want to keep.
Promise I
If your song lives on the streams, you share in what it earns.
When you agree to the terms and invite SOOMUZIC to place your custom song on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and the other services we can reach, you are not handing the work away for nothing. A portion of the revenue that song generates is shared with you — the person who asked for it.
We release through DistroKid, the streaming partner SOOMUZIC uses. We will share the DistroKid link (or the same reporting from any partner we use) so you can see, in the open, whether that particular song is making anything at all. No private ledger. You see what the streams report.
When there is money to send, it is paid once a year, in the name of the requestor. In the United States that payment is issued with IRS Form 1099, as the law requires. The paperwork names you. The share belongs to you — because you trusted us with the song, and you said yes to letting it travel.
Promise II
If SOOMUZIC succeeds, a portion of that success belongs to artists still waiting.
We said it on Y, and we mean it here: we are not trying to take the place of real musicians. If this studio becomes a business that can afford to give, we will contribute a portion of our revenue to upcoming and struggling artists — singers, writers, players, and makers who still need a first recording, a first room, a first chance.
That is a promise with conditions. Terms apply. We will not pretend a young studio can fund a foundation tomorrow. We have a plan for how that giving would work, and we will publish it when SOOMUZIC has grown enough to keep the promise with real money, not only with hope.
If we grow, we want that growth to make more music possible — not only ours. Success, if it comes, should open a door for someone who cannot yet afford the door.
Streaming, credit, and personal-use terms live in the user agreement. Why we exist — and why we will not compete with working musicians — lives on Y.
A share if it earns. A door if we grow.
